Paul takes Barr's Advice and Endorses Candidate for President, but It's not Barr

Yesterday former Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul made public his choice for President in the general election. Paul made his endorsement after Libertarian Party nominee Bob Barr "admonished" him for staying neutral in the general election campaign.

Barr Sues to Get Major Candidates Off Texas Ballot, Nader Agrees

Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr has filed a lawsuit to remove major party rivals John McCain and Barack Obama from the Texas ballot for missing the filing deadline, which would make Barr the only choice for president on the Texas ballot.

Nader's 2004 Running Mate, Comejo, Dies

Peter Comejo, who was Ralph Nader's vice presidential running mate in 2004, died today from lymphoma at the age of 69. He had been diagnosed with lymphoma in 2007 and was in remission until doctors made a second diagnosis in May of this year.

Fmr. Sen. Barkley Makes Easy Primary Win

Former Senator Dean Barkley easily won Tuesday's Independence Party primary for US Senate in Minnesota. Barkley took 59% of the vote out of this seven way race, former Independence Party state chairman Jack Uldrich came in distant second with 12%.

Fugitive Gets 9% In MN GOP Senate Primary

Incumbent Republican Senator Norm Coleman wasn't the only name on Tuesday's Republican primary ballotin Minnesota, Jack Shephard, a fugitive dentist living in Italy, also made it onto the state's ballot.
